Modeling takes skill *SHOCK*! Yes it's true, a tight body and pretty face is not enough, if you want to go far you need to be able to actually perform.

Every segment of the modeling industry requires different skills and though there is always some crossover into Fashion, Commercial, etc. this article relates to Glamour modeling specifically. If you are getting into Glamour modeling (Sylk Magazine, FHM, Playboy, etc.) and you desire to learn the skills needed to take it all the way don't bother blowing your money on "modeling" classes.

Glamour is about personality and sex appeal as conveyed through attitude and movement. Much of what you need to be a good glamour model is already in you as a woman. The natural sexuality is in your genes, however some may just need help unleashing and refining it.

 

And finally, if you are looking to go far in modeling it is helpful to know about everything that goes on during a shoot including the what is happening behind the camera. Take a basic photography class at a community college or just get a book on the fundamentals. By knowing what the photographer is doing you can better learn to anticipate them making for a smoother more productive shoot.
